Assoluti d'Italia Enduro 2018 - Castiglion Fiorentino

HOLCOMBE AND CHARLIER PROTAGONISTS IN CASTIGLION FIORENTINO

Steve Holcombe signs a double victory in the Assoluta and in the Foreigners class in Castiglion Fiorentino. Great third place also for Christophe Charlier, always in the Foreigners class.

The Beta Factory Enduro Team’s riders were protagonists during the third and fourth round of the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro last weekend in the small Tuscan town. As usual, the MC Castiglion Fiorentino has organized a race worthy of the maximum Italian Championship drawing three world carat special tests.

During the two days of the race, our riders had to face a demanding Enduro Test with an average travel time for top riders under seven minutes, a spectacular Cross Test a few meters from the paddock and with a view of the historical part of Castiglion Fiorentino and an Extreme very insidious and demanding.

Steve Holcombe has repeated the excellent performance of Sanremo going to win both days of competition in the Assoluta and in the Foreigners class. The British, riding the Beta RR 300, has achieved all over the weekend twelve best times in the twenty-one special tests disputed.

Excellent test also for Christophe Charlier, after the fourth place in the Foreigners class on Saturday has risen on the third step of the podium the following day. Christophe, in Day 2, recorded the best time in the last Exteme Test and good times in the second part of the race.

Glorious weekend also for Team Beta Boano: Brad Freeman conquered a 2° and 4° place in the Assoluta, Matteo Cavallo won both days in the Junior Class and Deny Philippaerts ended 2° in the 300 class on Saturday and Sunday.

STEVE HOLCOMBE

“A very positive weekend that ended with a double victory in class but especially in the Assoluta. Now we hope to continue on this path and to excel also in Santiago de Compostela where will take place the second round of the World Enduro Championship”.

CHRISTOPHE CHARLIER

“First I want to thank the whole team for the wonderful work done this weekend, we managed to set the bike in an excellent way and in the second part of the race the results were amazing. Now I will prepare myself for the GP of Spain in which I have every intention of doing well”.
