Beta’s New 350/400/450/498 RR FACTORY Line

The replicas of the bikes that Beta will race in 2012 Enduro season are ready!

The new and much expected FACTORY range of RR 4 stroke motorcycles are finally arriving! Available in four displacements 350 - 400, 450 and 498 and in limited edition, the 2012 RR Factory was born as replica of the bikes that Marko Tarkkala, Oscar Balletti and the other Beta Factory team riders will use in the World Enduro Championship races and in the main national and International events. Parts coming from Beta accessory book, special and new parts developed in collaboration with our riders, are the standard equipment of this real race replica bike. Here is an overview of what the RR FACTORY has to offer:


ENGINE:

  • Arrow full-system Titanium exhaust, updated in the structure and in the geometry, it provides a valuable weight savings of 1.8 pounds (800 grams). The new pipe and silencer system allows performance benefits throughout the full range of power, while also improving responsiveness and tractability.
  • A thinner cylinder base gasket on the RR Factory models (400 and 450cc only) increases the compression ratio. This small addition changes the power in a big way by increasing overall torque and creating a crisper throttle response.
  • A dual-map ignition switch on the handlebar allows riders to switch CDI mapping on the fly. The first map ensures a softer engine response – great for slippery and/or technical conditions – while the more aggressive map allows for the best performance on dry roads.
  • Modified clutch to allow a more aggressive engagement and precise gear changes.
  • The RR Factory motor is detailed with red anodized aluminium plugs and oil filler caps, not only giving it a factory look but also helping shed valuable extra weight!

CHASSIS:

  • The RR Factory chassis proudly features an all-new Marzocchi Shiver 48mm closed-cartridge fork. This is the best compromise between rigidity and weight and it is much more stable, especially under extreme conditions. It allows a higher level of performance, particularly in rough and choppy race tracks. The fork also uses a new adjustable triple clamp, offering two different steering offsets. These new CNC-milled billet aluminium triple clamps complement the strength and stability of the new fork tubes, completing the race-inspired front end.
  • Rear shock absorber with specific setting, heavier 5.4 K spring and a larger reservoir to provide a better control of the shock’s action, improved cooling and therefore stability of performance.
  • New frame reinforced in greatest stress areas and lightened where possible, to have greater strength and weight reduction of 900 grams at the same time.
  • New instrumentation, lighter, with a bigger display, better lighting and easily readable. In addition lights and arrows indicators are integrated, for improved ergonomics of the handlebar area.
  • Aluminium-mounted plastic hand guards offer great protection from branches and rocks while also allowing for easy passage through tight conditions.
  • Aluminium foot pegs are CNC-machined for a robust and lightweight quality, also with improved grip to keep those feet planted during serious bushwhacking!
  • Gripper seat is stronger and matches the graphics of the factory bike. A pocket allows an ideal place to stow maps, or an enduro time card.
  • Handlebar mounts feature state-of-the-art PHDS (Progressive Handlebar Damping System). Equipped with elastomers, the bar mounts provide optimum vibration absorption, ensuring improved comfort and precise control to the rider.
  • Carbon-Kevlar skid plate is lighter than the stock version, and thanks to a new design, it protects any exposed areas from impact and also resists mud accumulation.
  • Additional Carbon-Kevlar accessories further protect the chassis. Developed to complement the RR styling, they are lightweight and prevent wear from the chassis.
  • Simplified electrical system: a “must have” on racing bikes.
  • Both front and rear brakes feature Braking® wave rotors (260 mm on the front and 240mm at the rear) which offer optimum braking power as well as reliability and stability.
  • Front axle features a quick-change axle pull for front wheel changes on the fly. Seconds count in the pits and the new red anodized insert allows front wheel replacement in under a minute.
  • Supersprox dual material rear sprocket combines strength with light weight. The red anodized aluminium core adds an extra touch of factory detailing.
  • New position of clutch pipe for better layout and ergonomics of the area around the handlebar.
  • MX-inspired inner tubes for a further reduction of weight.
  • Red anodized aluminium spoke nipples add a sophisticated touch to the wheels.
  • Black rear swingarm for a more aggressive look.
  • Red anodized aluminium tank cap. Light, CNC machined for that factory look.
  • Clutch and brake master cylinder covers in red anodized aluminium: the final touch!
  • Complete factory graphics kit to top off this Italian beauty, the same graphics used on the official team bikes racing in the World Championship.

The RR 4T FACTORY 2012 will be available in limited edition from the end of February, through Beta official importers and Dealers only.
