Assoluti d'Italia Enduro 2019 - Sanremo

STEVE HOLCOMBE WINS THE OVERALL AND HE IS THE LEADER OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP

MANY BETA HEADING THE RANKINGS

The third round of the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro took place on Sunday, May 31, in Arma di Taggia in the province of Imperia.

The Beta Factory Enduro Team was all present with its two riders Benjamin Herrera and the World Champion Steve Holcombe.

The three special tests in the program included a Cross Test to be run five times along the Arma di Taggia beach, an Enduro Test and an Estrema.

Steve Holcombe made as usual an incredible race. Started with prudence during the whole first lap, our English rider improved the rhythm going to record several best absolute times and conquering the highest step of the overall podium and the Foreigners class at the end of a long day of competition.

Good performance also for Benjamin Herrera riding the Beta RR 390 4T. The Chilean rider has performed well in the Special test Extreme Tests, achieving excellent absolute times and reaching the sixth place in the Foreigners class and the ninth in the Overall.

Very good results also for the Beta Boano Team: Brad Freeman 3rd in the Overall and 2nd in the Foreigners class; Matteo Pavoni and Igor Brunengo 1st and 2nd in the Youth and Deny Philippaerts 2nd in the 300.

Victories also for Gianluca Martini in the 250 and Manuel Monni in the 300.

The next round is scheduled for Sunday, April 14, in Pontremoli in the province of Massa Carrara for the fourth round of the Assoluti d’Italia di Enduro.

STEVE HOLCOMBE

“I am very happy to have achieved another victory in the Italian Championship. On the first lap I made some mistakes but then I recovered and started pushing hard. I’m more satisfied about the feeling with the motorcycle and my physical condition”.

BENJAMIN HERRERA

“The lands that I found here at Arma di Taggia are very similar to those I have always run in Chile. I am quite satisfied with the outcome of the race, I got good results both in the Foreign class and in the Absolute. I thank the Team for the excellent job done and now we think about the next race in Pontremoli”.
