TRIAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP IN PIETRAMURATA

The inaugural stage of the Trial World Championship in Pietramurata, in the province of Trento, took place at the weekend.

The full Beta Factory Trial Team showed up with two riders in the prestigious Trial GP (James Dabill and Benoit Bincaz), and two riders in Trial 2 (Toby Martyn and Luca Petrella). Four other riders were supported in Trial 2 and in Trial 125: Sergio Piardi, Max Faude, Carlo Alberto Rabino, and Dylan Ball.

The Italian stage saw excellent performances by the Beta riders, and especially Benoit Bincaz, who finished in fourth position, within reach of the podium. Despite bad ground conditions due to rain, the Frenchman had an amazing start to the day that placed him in the top group. Bincaz finished the first circuit in 5th position and then secured the 4th final position.

James Dabill was not able to repeat his great success in the Scottish Six Days Trial: he made one too many mistakes and finished the race in 9th position.

Moving on to Trial 2: excellent performance for Toby Martyn who moves up to third place on the podium. At the beginning, the Englishman was very concentrated and determined, immediately fighting for the top positions and finishing the first circuit 2nd. The second round saw Martyn make a mistake that excluded him from the battle for victory but allowed him to get on the podium, an extremely prestigious result.

Luca Petrella finished 4th, just behind Toby Martyn: the Italian had a completely different race from his teammate, a steady progress that brought him from 7th position in the first circuit to 4th position in the second.

A wonderful start of the season for the very young Carlo Alberto Rabino, who reached third position in Trial 125, with a race day that saw him climbing up the ranks until he took third place on the podium.

Sergio Piardi and Max Faude finished in 10th and 22nd position in Trial 2, respectively, whereas Dylan Ball finished 12th in Trial 125.

After this great start to the racing season for the Team Beta Factory Trial, the next date is going to be in Japan from 7th to 9th June.
