BETA DAY 2022

#aperfectday

Sunday 09 October, at the Betamotor Factory in Rignano sull’Arno, the BETADAY was held, the final appointment of the Beta Trial and Enduro Master single-brand events, which this year, for the first time, were combined with the inaugural BetaRide event, reserved for Beta motorbike owners.

Finally, after 2 years of forced stop due to the pandemic, the area surrounding the Betamotor factory was able to host the final race that fans of the brand have been waiting for all year round. There was no shortage of entertainment on Sunday, which saw a packed programme of events for both competing riders and spectators.

More than 300 bikes were present at the event, counting Enduro, Trial and BetaRide riders, confirming the interest in the events promoted by the brand. Spectators were able to enjoy a continuous show between the riders in the race and the show heats, in which the Official Beta Factory riders competed, protagonists of a series of skill tests that enchanted the public. Displays of the range, official Beta merchandising points, a catering service and an area equipped for testing the Mini electric range for children completed the colourful paddock set up around the factory, where autograph sessions were also held by the official Beta Factory riders: Freeman, Holcombe, Lupino, Grattarola, Gandola, Haga, Gelabert and others. Also in attendance was stunt rider Sam King, who launched himself into a never-before-tried backflip, rousing the audience in attendance.

The 5th round of the Enduro Master Beta Challenge included two special tests identified by the MC Colli Fiorentini: an enduro test and a cross test, respectively of 1.8 km and 4 km, to be repeated six times.

The host Fabio Pampaloni came out on top in the Overall Class of the day, faster than Filippo Grimani, while the third best performer was Andrea Rocchi, who after the day’s performance earned gold in the Enduro Master Beta 2022 Top Class, leaving silver and bronze to Roberto Bazzurri and Andrea Gava respectively.

The 125 Class went instead to Davide Mei, who performed well throughout the season, winning over Giacomo Grisenti and Elia Pegoraro, who completed the podium.

Moving up in the 2-stroke Class, the undisputed star was Federico Fanzio, who posted the best time over his authoritative championship rivals, Jacopo Rossi and Mattia Coppa. In the 4 Stroke Class, it was Lorenzo Gori who dominated, leaving behind the knobby wheels of Rocco Pizzirani and Alexander Maltry. The Veteran Class went to an unbeatable Renzo Ravagli.

As for the 32nd Master Trial Trophy, on the other hand, a loop course designed by MC Pegaso was planned that joined two zone groups, separated by about one kilometre of transfer. The first five sections were located in the nearby cave, outside the factory, while the last three were located in the inner park, a few steps away from the paddock, where the zones for the youngest riders in the Minitrial mono, Entry and C1 categories had also been laid out.

The awards ceremony of the day, presided over by the first citizen of Rignano sull’Arno Giacomo Certosi, saw the protagonists:
