THE NEW BENCHMARK IN MOTOCROSS

The moment motocross enthusiasts have been waiting for has finally arrived: a new model is ready to officially join Beta’s motocross lineup. It is the new RX 250 F, a motorcycle born from a completely new design, developed from the ground up in terms of both chassis and engine. With the 2027 model year, the range now features a complete lineup of four race-ready models, capable of meeting the needs of an ever-growing audience thanks to their diverse and complementary features. The addition of the 250 4T thus joins the established RX 450 and the two-stroke stars, the RX 250 and RX 350. A family wrapped in a fresh, aggressive red-and-black look, designed to offer everyone a bike that is both easy to ride and high-performance, making rideability its core value: RideAbility.

RX 250 F: A completely new project

The main innovation of the 2027 Model Year redefines the brand’s positioning in the global motocross scene. The new RX 250 F is the result of a completely new project, developed from the ground up in terms of both chassis and engine, aimed at achieving the best possible balance between performance, weight, rideability, and track performance.

-1.5 KG LIGHTER THAN THE COMPETITION

The engine is an extremely compact and lightweight unit, offering a concrete weight advantage of approximately 1.5 kg less than the standard set by competitors in the same category. To achieve this goal, numerous aspects were refined, such as the reduced thickness of the die-cast aluminum inner cases, while the outer cases and cylinder head cover are made of magnesium alloy.

DUAL INJECTION SYSTEM

The new engine incorporates sophisticated technical solutions such as the dual injection system, with injectors positioned both on the throttle body and on the airbox sleeve. This configuration allows for optimal management of the air-fuel mixture, improving low-end response and ensuring strong high-end power delivery.

RIGHT-SIDE DOHC TIMING

The all-new 250cc engine features a DOHC timing system with a chain positioned on the right side, marking a clear departure from the 450 RX. The timing system uses a quiet Morse-type chain, driven by a gear connected to the water pump shaft.

FRAME

BALANCE AND RACE-INSPIRED GEOMETRY

The frame geometry of the previous models for the 250-350 2-stroke and 450 4-stroke engines is retained, widely appreciated for its excellent balance between stability at high speeds and maneuverability on technical sections. The real structural innovation is the introduction of a dedicated frame for the new RX 250 F, featuring a more tapered engine cradle section and side-mounted engine head connections that increase torsional stiffness while maintaining optimal vertical flexibility.

KAYABA SUSPENSION

TOTAL CONNECTION WITH THE TRACK

The premium package is confirmed with the 48 mm front fork and 50 mm monoshock. For MY27, Beta engineers have developed specific and differentiated settings for every single model in the range. The goal of the tuning is to maintain high sensitivity and the ability to absorb bumps in the first part of the stroke, while ensuring maximum structural support during big landings from jumps and in high-speed sections.

NISSIN BRAKING SYSTEM

POWER UNDER CONTROL

The Nissin braking system with floating brake calipers and Galfer disks—260 mm at the front and 240 mm at the rear—remains an absolute staple of the RX range. It delivers extremely powerful yet perfectly modulated braking in any traction condition, allowing the rider to manage every braking maneuver at the limit with pinpoint precision.

ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT

RACE-READY TECHNOLOGY

On the 4-stroke models, systems derived directly from the racing world make their debut, such as Launch Control (adjustable to five levels to optimize the start at the gate) and Quick Shift (for shifting gears without closing the throttle), which are combined with Traction Control and dual engine mapping. As for the 2-stroke models, the handlebar protection has been redesigned and houses the engine map selection button. On the 4-stroke models, the introduction of these new features has led to an update of the control panel, ergonomically integrated into the handlebar guard.

DUNLOP TIRES

MAXIMUM TRACTION AND HANDLING

One of the key new features across the MY27 lineup is the debut of next-generation Dunlop tyres on all models. Designed for intensive motocross use, they are extremely efficient at transferring engine power to the ground and offer weight savings compared to previous components, all to the benefit of the vehicle’s responsiveness and overall handling.

COMPONENTS

DURABILITY AND COMFORT ON THE SEAT

The RX range evolves with details that make a difference in competition: a new reinforced chain guide debuts to withstand the onslaught of mud and sand, paired with a larger, safer pinion guard, in line with the most stringent regulations. To reduce arm fatigue during longer races, new grips with a softer compound are introduced, capable of effectively absorbing vibrations.

THE NEW LOOK

From an aesthetic standpoint, the new range marks a decisive evolution from the past, moving away from the traditional white, red, and blue color scheme in favor of a modern and distinctive combination. The new graphics introduce an eye-catching red and black livery that integrates perfectly with the adoption of black-finished structural components, such as the new frame and tank.

READY FOR ANYTHING

The constant pursuit of maximum efficiency translates into targeted engineering choices: one example is the hydraulic clutch with spring washers, which is now integrated into the RX 250 F with a completely redesigned 5-speed gearbox to reduce weight and size without compromising strength.
For the 2-stroke models, the internal structure of the silencer has been optimized with a sturdier tapered pipe, and the gear ratios on the RX 250 2T have been extended for smoother acceleration.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND FUNCTIONALITY

Attention to thermal flows guided the design of the cooling system through CFD analysis to optimize heat exchange and minimize pressure drops, with the RX 250 F featuring a closed-type impeller to eliminate external piping. Structural functionality is confirmed by the aluminum subframe and the extremely easy and intuitive access to the air filter on the left side, which requires no tools whatsoever.

CONTROL AND COMFORT

The handlebar is mounted on silent block supports, designed to effectively reduce vibrations transmitted to the rider and improve riding comfort in the most demanding conditions. The use of supports raised by 5 mm also helps optimize the riding position, promoting a more natural and effective posture in the saddle.
