From the sands of Hattah to the Italian Indoor challenges and French Enduro: the Beta race weekend.

From vast deserts to impervious special stages and technically challenging sections bordering on perfection: this past weekend, Beta Factory and Beta-supported riders painted a vivid picture of successes and overcome challenges across international and national competitive landscapes. Here’s a summary of the performances that reaffirm the brand’s versatility and tenacity in every discipline.

TrialGP World Championship – Exeter, Rhode Island (USA)

The American round of the TrialGP World Championship was particularly challenging for Beta riders. For Matteo Grattarola, the slippery sections, heat, and humidity made it one of the toughest races of the year. Despite the difficulties, Grattarola finished 6th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday, bringing home crucial points that allow him to maintain 4th place in the overall standings, ahead of his direct competitors.

A splendid weekend for Andrea Sofia Rabino in TrialGP Women, who confirmed her excellent form with two consecutive podiums: 2nd position on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday. On demanding sections and in difficult weather conditions, Rabino managed the race with great clarity and determination, successfully overcoming all sections and confirming her status among the absolute protagonists of the season. Also noteworthy was Alice Minta‘s performance, securing fourth place on Sunday in the same category.

In Trial2, Harry Hemingway delivered another strong performance, finishing 2nd on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday, consolidating continuous growth that now allows him to lead the Championship with a significant margin, just one race from the end, moving closer to the title. A great recovery also from George Hemingway, who, after a 10th place on Saturday, climbed to a splendid 4th place on Sunday. Gerard Trueba also merits mention in Trial2, with a third-place finish on Saturday.

With the challenging American event concluded, the Trial World Championship now prepares for the season’s final act: the UK round, scheduled from September 5 to 7.

Italian Enduro Absolutes 2025 – Sant’Angelo in Vado, Pesaro and Urbino

The ninth and tenth rounds of the Italian Enduro Absolutes took place last weekend in Sant’Angelo in Vado, Pesaro and Urbino. The Motoclub Benelli, with the collaboration of Track Inspector Mario Rinaldi, set up a 50 km course worthy of a world-class event, featuring three highly technical and treacherous special stages to be repeated four times on Saturday and three times on Sunday, for a total of twenty-one special tests.

The track included a 4 km Cross Test on hard and dusty terrain, followed by a 7 km Enduro Test in the undergrowth and, to conclude the lap, a 1.5 km Extreme Test, as technical as it was spectacular, characterized by demanding climbs, descents, and various artificial obstacles that severely tested the riders.

The weekend had started in the best possible way for Nathan Watson, who immediately showed his incisiveness with the best time in the first Enduro Test. His race, however, was unfortunately cut short during the second lap on Saturday due to a crash in the Extreme Test, which caused a severe knee contusion and forced him to withdraw after a promising start.

Also noteworthy was the excellent performance of Matej Skuta from Team Entrophy, who recorded ninth and eighth overall finishes, winning the last Extreme special and placing in the top three in several other special tests. The young French rider Léo Joyon from Team OX Moto also had a good weekend, finishing eleventh on Saturday and seventh on Sunday overall, in addition to recording Top 5 times in some special stages. Davide Mei also bears mentioning, taking first place on Sunday in the 300 Class.

With the conclusion of the 2025 Italian Enduro Absolutes, attention shifts to the next appointment with the fourth round of the EnduroGP World Championship, scheduled for Rhayader, Wales, from August 1 to 3.

Hattah Desert Race 2025 – Hattah, Victoria (Australia)

The Beta Australia Enduro Team took part in one of the nation’s most iconic off-road events last weekend: the 2025 Hattah Desert Race, held in Hattah, Victoria. With over 450 riders entered in the Senior category, the Hattah Desert Race remains Australia’s largest and most prestigious desert race.
The start of the weekend saw Jye Dickson impress early in the prologue, finishing 9th aboard his Beta RC 450 4T. This performance earned him a spot in the highly competitive Top Ten Shootout, where he held his ground and secured 9th position. Fellow Beta rider and Victorian native Andrew Wilksch also showed strong form, finishing 13th in the prologue on his RC 450 4T.

Sunday’s main event, a grueling four-hour race across deep sand, high-speed straights, and demanding terrain, tested both man and machine, with riders reaching speeds of over 150km/h. Dickson launched well off the line but slipped back slightly in the early laps. Settling into a consistent rhythm, he began building momentum at the halfway mark and charged hard in the second half of the 8-lap race to finish a strong 8th overall. Wilksch made steady progress from his 13th place starting position, picking off riders lap after lap. By lap five, he had moved into 7th and kept the pressure on to gain another spot in the final stages, crossing the line in 6th place, a solid result for the Victorian local.

The Beta Australia Enduro Team will now shift focus back to the Australian Enduro Championship, with Rounds 9 & 10 set for Kyogle, NSW on September 13–14.
