Gaby (Aosta Valley) provided the setting for the final and decisive round of the 2026 Italian Trial Championship, masterfully organised by M.C. Pollein with 12 sections repeated twice, alternating between indoor and woodland courses. Matteo Grattarola, who had already mathematically secured the Italian Championship title by the start of the race, was hampered by an unexpected mistake in section 11 of the first lap, finishing the race in second place on the day but officially celebrating the win of his 17th Italian title of his career.
“I’m happy with my seventeenth title even though I didn’t win the race: a small mistake meant I couldn’t win the day, but we’ve still secured the title. The bike and the team have performed well throughout the season. Now we’re focusing on the final round of the TrialGP in Spain,” commented Grattarola.

An outright victory and a title to add to her collection also went to Andrea Sofia Rabino, who continued her winning streak by dominating the race with just 12 penalty points and being crowned Italian Women’s A Champion. The Tuscan brand’s celebrations continued in the TR3 125 class with Edio Poncia, winner of the race and the national title, whilst Graziano Ronca (TR3 Open) and Alice Parodi (Women’s B) claimed their respective class titles.

The final round of the British Championship at Geddington has rightfully gone down in motorcycling history. On Saturday, George Hemingway dominated both laps, finishing with 14 penalty points (ahead of Jack Peace on 16 and Harry on 22), narrowing the gap to his brother to just 3 points on the eve of the final race. On Sunday, Harry Hemingway responded with a flawless start, setting the best score on the first lap and holding off George’s furious comeback on the second by a single point (44 points in total for Harry, 45 for George, 55 for Jack Peace). The results crown Harry Hemingway British Champion, followed by George in second position: this is the first time in history that two brothers have secured first and second position in the British championship.

“All in all, it was a historic weekend, in which we became the first brothers to take first and second place in the British championship. All eyes are now on this weekend’s final round of the TrialGP,” said George Hemingway.

In Vimianzo (A Coruña), on the Monte Faro track which saw over 160 riders line up at the start, the penultimate round of the 2026 SPEA RFME Spanish Championship took place.

On Sunday, Jaime Busto secured Betamotor and Beta Trueba’s fourth victory of the season in the top-tier TR1 class aboard the SINCRO FACTORY 300 2T MY26, completing a second perfect lap with zero penalties. In the same category, Gerard Trueba finished 4th ahead of David Fabian (5th). On Saturday, in the Cadets 125 class, Jordi Parés claimed his first class victory ahead of Pau Giralt (2nd) and Lluc Gómez (4th), whilst in the women’s TR1 class, Farners Fontdevila secured her fourth win of the season. Sunday saw Jon Amos Bilbao (14th) and Silvestre Ginferrer (15th) finish in the Junior class, as well as Víctor Del Blanco (10th) and Pau Giralt (12th) in the Green Gate class. Also standing out were the Beta-backed successes of Jordi Sanjuan (1st TR3), Àlex Pifarré (3rd Junior), Fèlix and Toni Sangrà (Cadet Cup podium), Samuel Balboa (2nd in Youth A), Vinyet Estalló and Maria López (2nd and 3rd in the women’s TR1 class), Antoni Ramonet (2nd in Veteran A) and Xevi Surós, winner and newly crowned champion in Veteran B. The final round will take place in Ripoll on 24 and 25 October.

The Shanghai circuit hosted the penultimate round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship. The MRT Racing Team Beta Factory tackled the challenging Asian away fixture by fielding Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) in the premier class. After setting the 6th fastest time in free practice and finishing 7th in qualifying, the Belgian put in two solid performances: in Race 1 he fought his way back up to 8th position, whilst in Race 2 he gritted his teeth to finish 9th. These results secured him 9th place overall for the day, giving Geerts his best points haul of the season and seeing him climb to 14th in the championship standings. The world championship finale will take place next weekend in Darwin for the Australian Grand Prix.

“It was a good weekend. Right from the first practice session, I felt at ease on the track.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have much luck with the starts today, but I felt I had a good pace. Due to the layout of the track, I struggled to overtake. I’m now looking forward with confidence to next weekend for the final GP of the season in Australia,” said Geerts.

The final round of the Belgian Enduro Championship (Inter) in Dinant saw Tim Lous crowned champion of the E1 class. The Beta rider put in a flawless weekend: on Saturday he fought his way up to 2nd place in the E1 class (3rd overall), repeating the feat on Sunday with another 2nd place in E1 and 2nd place overall for the day. These results secure him the official title of Belgian E1 Champion and the trophy for Runner-up in the overall scratch standings.

“It was my best weekend of the season. On Saturday, I managed to fight my way back from fifth position to claim a podium finish in the final race and, with it, the Belgian E1 title. On Sunday, I managed to come out on top, securing the runner-up spot in the overall standings. This is my first title since winning the Enduro Open World Cup in 2024 and I couldn’t be happier.
