Beta Racing across MXGP, X-Trial, and Hard Enduro: results and podiums across Europe

Another intense and rewarding weekend for Beta riders, who lined up on multiple fronts across Europe — from the MXGP World Championship in Switzerland, to the X-Trial des Nations in France, through to Hard Enduro and the Portuguese Enduro Championship. Let’s take a look at how it went.

X-Trial des Nations – Nice, France

Palais Nikaia | France 2nd – Italy 3rd

The eighth round of the 2025 X-Trial World Championship and the 20th edition of the X-Trial des Nations took place in Nice, in the stunning setting of the Palais Nikaia — a venue known for hosting top-tier indoor events.
Riders competed in a spectacular and technical team-based format, with two representatives per country.
Team France, featuring Hugo Dufrese, claimed an excellent 2nd place, while Team Italy, led by Matteo Grattarola, just missed out on 2nd and settled for a solid 3rd place.
“We were very close to 2nd place. I’m happy for my teammate and proud of our performance.” – Matteo Grattarola
“It was my first time at the X-Trial des Nations and it went very well. The podium is a great reward.” – Hugo Dufrese
Harry Hemingway, representing Great Britain, finished just off the podium in 4th — another important experience in his international progression.

Next and final round: Tallinn, Estonia – April 26

MXGP – Grand Prix of Switzerlan

Frauenfeld, Switzerland | Ben Watson 13th Overall – Tom Koch DNF (Race 2)

The sixth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship 2025 took place on the hard-packed track of Frauenfeld, near Zurich. As the sessions went on, the ground became increasingly technical and challenging.
Ben Watson showed determination throughout the weekend. After qualifying 17th, he was forced to come back from the very back of the pack in Race 1 due to a crash in the first corner, finishing 17th. In Race 2, he got a better start and quickly climbed into P8, holding the position for most of the race and crossing the line in 7th. These results gave him 13th Overall on the day and brought him up to 11th in the Championship standings.
“I’m happy with my pace and physical condition. We’re improving step by step — looking forward to Portugal.” – Ben Watson
Tom Koch, after clocking the 19th fastest time in time practice and finishing 20th in qualifying, struggled to recover in Race 1 and finished 21st. In Race 2, he climbed back up to 15th but was unfortunately forced to retire due to a technical issue.
“Not the luckiest weekend, but now we’ve got two weeks to prepare for Portugal.” – Tom Koch

Next round: MXGP of Portugal – Agueda, May 3–4

Spanish Hard Enduro Championship – Ourense

Galicia, Spain | Felix Bähker – P1 Junior, P5 Overall

A consistent and competitive weekend for Felix Bähker, who impressed at the third round of the Spanish Hard Enduro Championship in Ourense.
On Saturday, in rainy conditions, he started from the front row and rode a solid 3-hour race, finishing 1st in Junior U23 and 5th Overall. Sunday’s 2-hour race saw him find his rhythm early and build a strong lead, which helped him maintain his 1st place Junior despite some bottlenecks in the final lap.
“I’m very satisfied with my performance. The bike suits me perfectly and the results show it.” – Felix Bähker
The Spanish Hard Enduro Championship now takes a break until the final two rounds in autumn.
