The final round of the X-Trial World Championship took place in the picturesque setting of the CaixaBank Tarraco Arena in Tarragona, Spain. The Beta Trial Factory Team closed out the indoor season in style, starting with a splendid performance by Matteo Grattarola. The Italian champion, after finishing seventh in Q1, shifted gears to dominate Q2 with his speed and secure an excellent third-place finish.
“A great end to the season. While I was a bit unlucky in Q1, I made up for it in Q2 with my speed. Now all eyes are on the World Championship,” commented Grattarola.

All eyes were also on the official debut in Beta red of multiple champion Jaime Busto. The Spaniard showed an immediate connection with the new bike, finishing second in Q1 and earning direct access to the final, where he finished in fourth place.

It was a more challenging weekend for Harry Hemingway, who failed to qualify for the final, finishing the day in seventh position. “Q1 didn’t start well; even though I managed to recover, I finished in sixth position. In Q2, I made a small mistake that prevented me from qualifying for the final. I finished the season with an overall fourth-position finish in the championship, and I’m happy with the results of this first year, with two podiums and six finals contested,” commented the young British talent. The team’s focus now shifts to the TrialGP opener at Motegi, Japan, in mid-May.

The third round of the 2026 Italian Enduro Championship saw riders compete on the 44-km technical course set up in Caltanissetta.

Brad Freeman claimed the second step of the podium in both the Overall class and the Foreigners’ class, at the end of a race with two distinct phases. After a Saturday where he failed to perform at his best, finishing fourth due to a few mistakes, the Englishman literally dominated on Sunday, posting excellent times in all the special stages and narrowly winning the day. “I made a few too many mistakes on Saturday, but on Sunday I fought until the very last special stage to secure the victory. Now it’s full focus on the World Championship in Spain,” said Freeman.

Nathan Watson’s physical recovery continues positively, as he wrapped up the Sicilian round with a fifth and fourth-place overall finish over the two days, confirming excellent progress ahead of the upcoming events.

The “Ciclamino” track in Pietramurata (Trentino) hosted the fifth round of the MXGP World Championship over a challenging weekend.

In the premier class, Jago Geerts was forced to race defensively. Starting from the back of the grid after retiring in qualifying, the Belgian suffered a crash and a blow to the elbow in Race 1 (25th), but managed to grit his teeth in Race 2 and fight his way back to 20th position, earning a championship point. It was a race of suffering and a retirement for Rick Elzinga, who continues his difficult journey to regain fitness.

The most positive news comes from the EMX250 European Championship. Alexis Fueri showed great speed: unfairly caught up in a group crash at the start of Race 1 (which forced him to retire), the Frenchman redeemed himself in Race 2 by taking the holeshot, leading the race for the first few laps, and finishing with an excellent fifth place (thirteenth overall). Brando Rispoli was solid and consistent; thanks to a strong comeback in Race 1 (ninth) and a fourteenth-place finish in Race 2, he secured tenth position overall, confirming his return to form.

The third round of the 2026 Spanish Enduro Championship took place in Antas (Almería), putting the riders and the reliability of the bikes to the test with a 50-km course characterized by dry terrain, dust, and rocks. The Beta Trueba Enduro Factory team rose to the challenge, led by an unstoppable Julio Pando. The Asturian rider claimed second place in the E3 class on both days, securing his fourth consecutive silver medal of the season with solid and flawless riding.

A triumphant return to the Junior Open for Nil Rojas: after a month away from racing, he immediately claimed the third step of the podium on Saturday and a fourth-place finish on Sunday, cementing third position in the combined standings for the weekend.

It was a weekend of pure resilience, however, for Pau Tomàs (E2 class). Despite a heavy crash in Saturday’s qualifying, which left him with a back injury, he gritted his teeth and heroically finished the first day in sixth place. Unfortunately, the relentless pain forced him to retire on Sunday. Among the youngest riders in the Junior 125cc 2T class, Guillem Sucarrats (fourth on Saturday and fifth on Sunday) and Alejandro Irigoyen (sixth in both races) put in strong performances. The Iberian Championship is now on hiatus and will resume in September in Barcelona.

Excellent news for Beta also comes from the Czech Republic.

In the Trial Championship held in Mořina, David Fabián, riding the Beta Sincro Factory 300, dominated the competition, securing victory on both Saturday and Sunday in the TR1 and Junior categories.

Meanwhile, in the grueling “Drapák Rodeo” Hard Enduro race in Petříkovice, Beta riders distinguished themselves with two excellent overall second-place finishes: Jan Valvoda in the PRO class (on an RR Race 300) and Samuel Stuchlík in the 125 class (on an RR Race 125).

The Beta Portugal team shone at Armamar on April 19 in the third round of the 2026 National Enduro Championship. Gonçalo Maria dominated the Open categories, consolidating his lead, while Salvador Sampaio and Lucas Espinha stood out in the Verdes and Youth classes; the latter, despite a few technical errors due to the weather, retains the lead in the overall standings.

The team’s success was rounded out by podium finishes from Tony Carvalho, Francisco Soares, Hugo Silva, and João Ermida. With these excellent results in the bag, the team is now setting its sights on the race in Figueira da Foz on May 17, which also counts toward the Beta Trophy.
