From the summit of World Trial to Enduro challenges: A winning weekend for Beta
The weekend brought Beta an array of emotions and great results on several international fronts. From the historic victory in the Trial2 World Championship with Harry Hemingway to podiums in Portugal and the gritty return of Alfredo Gomez, our riders showed both tenacity and talent. It was another milestone that reinforces our competitive DNA.
The seventh and final round of the Trial World Championship concluded in Geddington, England, delivering an emotional victory for Beta: the world title in the Trial2 category with British rider Harry Hemingway. Despite the pressure of the final round, Harry managed the race with determination, securing a solid 2nd position on Saturday and a 4th on Sunday. These results allowed him to maintain his accumulated lead and be crowned the 2025 World Champion.
In the same category, his brother George Hemingway also demonstrated his skills, finishing 4th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday, and ending his first year in Trial2 with an excellent 6th place in the overall standings.
There were also great results for Andrea Sofia Rabino in the TrialGP Women category, who took the podium on both days, finishing in 2nd place on both Saturday and Sunday. With these performances, Andrea Sofia concludes a season of significant personal and sporting growth, also securing an excellent 2nd place in the final championship standings.
In TrialGP, veteran Matteo Grattarola maintained his legendary consistency, finishing 4th in both races and confirming his 4th position in the overall standings. Lastly, Hugo Dufrese earned a 7th position on Saturday and a 9th on Sunday, ending his first year with Beta in 8th place in the championship.
The focus now shifts to Italy, where our riders will compete in the Trial of Nations in Tolmezzo on September 20th and 21st.
The Abestone Hard Enduro in Tuscany marked the highly anticipated return to racing for Alfredo Gomez after his injury in Romania. The rider showed notable physical condition and determination from the very first day.
In Saturday’s sprint race, an intense one-hour event, Gomez secured a solid fifth place, a promising result for the main race. On Sunday, his performance was put to the test by an unforeseen event: after an excellent start that saw him in fourth position, a crash damaged the clutch pump, forcing him into a long stop in the pits. Despite the setback and restarting from the back, Alfredo demonstrated great tenacity and grit, fighting his way back to finish in thirteenth place.
His performance at Abestone, though not without bad luck, confirms his competitive spirit and his ability to fight at the highest levels of international hard enduro.

The first round of the Moto Espinha National Enduro Sprint Championship took place in Cantanhede, Portugal, and saw the Beta team as the undisputed protagonist.
In the Elite class, Beta riders dominated the standings: Ruben Ferreira, on his Beta RR Race 250, secured the overall victory, closely followed by the multiple national champion Diogo Ventura, who claimed 2nd place.
There were also excellent results in other categories:
• n the Verdes 2 class, Diogo Nogueira won the race, while Marco Vicente secured an excellent 2nd place in the Verdes 1 class.
• In the Super Veterans, Pedro Rodrigues took 2nd place, and the experienced Tony Carvalho finished in 3rd.
The Beta team is now ready to recharge and prepare for the next round of the championship.
