MXGP, TrialGP, and Spanish Enduro. SUCCESSES AND PODIUMS IN THIS WEEKEND’S RACE RECAP.
From the scorching tracks of Australia to the TrialGP grand finale in Spain, via the challenging special stages of La Torre d’Oristà and the muddy terrain of the Beta Enduro Master in Liguria. A weekend packed with decisive results, one-two finishes, and performances driven by sheer determination brought the Trial and Motocross world championship seasons to a spectacular close, while key rounds of the national enduro championships were also wrapped up. Here are all the official results from the weekend.
The Hidden Valley Motorsports Complex in Darwin hosted the final round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship with the Australian Grand Prix. Jago Geerts (Beta RX450), riding for the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory, delivered an extremely solid performance: tenth in free practice, eleventh in timed practice, and ninth in Saturday’s qualifying heat.
In Sunday’s two official races, the Belgian demonstrated great speed, securing two ninth-place finishes (9th in Race 1 and 9th in Race 2), which earned him the ninth-place overall position for the day. With this result, Geerts concludes his first MXGP season with the team in 14th position in the overall championship standings, a testament to the hard work put in throughout the year.
“I’m pretty satisfied with how I rode this weekend. In both races, I was battling for seventh or eighth position. Unfortunately, in Race 1 I had a small crash, and in Race 2 I went off the track. Still, I felt like I was riding strong, and I’m happy with this result,” said Geerts.
The permanent circuit at Pobladura de las Regueras hosted the final, decisive round of the 2026 TrialGP World Championship, marked by dramatic temperature swings (from 6°C in the morning to 30°C in the afternoon) and treacherous dust.
In TrialGP, Harry Hemingway delivered a strong, consistent performance, securing a fabulous double third-place finish (3rd on both Saturday and Sunday), confirming his progress in the premier class. Jaime Busto had less luck: arriving in Spain in second place in the championship, he was hampered by several mistakes and a crash on Saturday that left him with a leg injury, ultimately finishing the World Championship in third position. Matteo Grattarola, on the other hand, finished the season in 4th position overall.
In Trial2, George Hemingway fought until the very end for the world title, securing second position in the final championship standings at the end of a season marked by steady improvement. In TrialGP Women, Andrea Sofia Rabino felt the pressure during the final weekend but still closed out a splendid season by claiming the title of World Runner-Up (2nd in the championship).
Among the supported riders, highlights include Abril Montserrat’s victory in Trial2 Women (followed by Daniela Hernando’s second-place finish), Alice Minta’s third-place finish in TrialGP Women, and Marco Laure’s bronze medal in the Trial3 World Championship. These overall results secured Betamotor second place in the Manufacturers’ Championship.
The fourth round of the Spanish Enduro Championship (also counting toward the European Championship) at La Torre d’Oristà (Barcelona) turned into a resounding success for the Beta Trueba Enduro Factory team. Julio Pando dominated the Enduro3 class aboard his RR RACE 480 4T MY27, securing a flawless one-two finish (1st on Saturday and 1st on Sunday).
A sensational debut for rookie Alejo Peral (coming from the Beta Trueba MX Racing team in MX2): in his first official enduro race on the RR RACE 2T 300 MY27, he won the Junior Open on Saturday (after finishing in the Top 10 in the Super Test) and finished 2nd on Sunday behind teammate Nil Rojas, the winner of the second day. There were also valuable podium finishes for Guillem Sucarrats (two third-place finishes in the Junior 125 2T class), while Pau Tomàs secured two fifth-place finishes in the E2 class and Ramon Godino finished 5th and 7th upon his return from injury. Among the customers, class victories went to Alexis Fernández (Senior B 2T), Antonio Valero (Master 50), and Miquel Font (Master 60 on Sunday).
The technicians and teams are already hard at work preparing for the final, fiercely contested challenges of the fall.
