The 2026 EnduroGP World Championship has entered its decisive phase with the French GP at Saint-Agrève, the penultimate round of the season. Awaiting the world enduro circus was a technical and highly selective course, inaugurated by the traditional Friday evening Super Test held in front of a huge crowd. The race course featured a long, fast Cross Test on hard ground, followed by a technical Enduro Test in the woods amongst roots and stones, and to round off the lap, a spectacular Extreme Test on compact ground packed with artificial obstacles including logs and boulders.

It was a mixed but solid weekend for Brad Freeman in the E3 class. On Day 1, the Briton finished third (seventh in EnduroGP), whilst on Sunday he demonstrated his full potential by securing a brilliant second position in class and fourth position overall in EnduroGP.

It was also a steady and positive weekend for Nathan Watson in the E2 class, who managed to secure a fifth place on the opening day (tenth in the EnduroGP) and a sixth place on Sunday (fourteenth in the EnduroGP).

With the French round now behind them, the World Championship is gearing up for the grand finale with the GP of Wales, scheduled to take place in Rhayader from 7 to 9 August.

Clément Clauzier secured a magnificent third place in the Junior 1 category on Saturday; on Sunday, he staged a superb comeback, missing out on the podium by just 2 seconds after a final lap of the highest calibre. He returns home with valuable points for the World Championship standings.

After an absence of twenty-six years, the FIM Motocross World Championship returned to the historic Foxhills circuit to host the British Grand Prix, the twelfth round of the 2026 world championship season. The British track featured its typical compact surface and extremely fast undulations.

In the MXGP class, Jago Geerts (Beta RX450) enjoyed a weekend of steady improvement. After posting the 18th-fastest time in free practice and 19th in qualifying, Geerts was forced to start from a backmarker position, setting off among the last riders but fighting his way back up to 20th place. In the first race, the Belgian remained in sixteenth place for much of the race, before dropping slightly towards the end to finish eighteenth. His real comeback came in Race 2: starting just outside the top ten, Geerts immediately began to make up ground and, by the tenth lap, had moved up to ninth place, holding on to it until the chequered flag. This superb ninth place represents Beta’s best race result of the season in the MXGP class. Twelfth overall for the day, Geerts remains in seventeenth place in the championship. Next weekend, the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory will be in action at Loket for the Czech Republic Grand Prix.

Jago Geerts: “I’m very happy with the result in the second race. I got off to a good start and immediately found my rhythm on the track. I finished ninth, which is a good result after a first race where I never really felt comfortable. In the second race, the track was much more rutted and demanding – conditions in which I’m able to perform at my best. I’m happy to have ended the weekend this way. I’m training well and my riding has improved a lot over the last few months. The bike has also received some updates that have made it better suited to my riding style.”

The German town of Werl hosted the final round of the European Trial Championship. It was a weekend to remember for Luca Petrella, who, with Team Trial Academy, clinched the continental title at the end of a highly tense weekend. In Saturday’s race, the rider adopted a cautious approach, but a few too many mistakes cost him the day’s victory, leaving him to finish in second place overall. On Sunday 19 July, however, the tide turned. Focused, precise and aggressive on every obstacle, he finished with a record score of just 17 penalty points, allowing him to be officially crowned European Champion 2026.

David Fabián, riding his Beta Sincro Factory 300, competed in the premier class against eleven top-class riders on a technical natural course through the woods, featuring rocky jumps, run-outs and technical sections made even more slippery by the large amount of dust on the man-made obstacles.

Saturday’s race gave Fabián his best result of the season. Second at the end of the first lap, the young talent put in an exceptional performance on the second lap, picking up just two penalty points, taking the lead and securing a valuable victory: this is his first career win in the European Championship. On Sunday, starting last due to his success the previous day, David maintained an excellent pace, making just one small mistake and finishing the first lap in second place. At the start of the second lap, he took the lead by capitalising on a mistake by his rival, but subsequently lost his advantage due to a five-point penalty in the sixth section, nevertheless finishing with an extraordinary second place on the day. Thanks to this consistency, David Fabián concludes the 2026 European Championship in third place overall in the premier class.
The Beta Trueba Trial Factory leaves Werl with two prestigious continental results: the title of 2026 European Champion won by Farners Fontdevila, who enjoyed an extraordinary season with seven wins out of eight races, and the title of European Runner-up secured by Silvestre Ginferrer. The weekend also saw three further podium finishes, thanks to second and third places for Pau Giralt and third place for Jordi Parés.

The 2026 Ditrocks Hard Enduro, held in Ditrău, Romania, from 17 to 19 July, was the fifth round of the Romanian Hard Enduro Championship and the final major preparatory event ahead of the legendary Red Bull Romaniacs.
The event attracted over 150 riders from all over the world, with many international competitors using the Ditrocks as a crucial opportunity to fine-tune their pace and set-up ahead of the Romaniacs. The Beta Factory team riders delivered another excellent performance in the highly competitive Pro category:
Alfredo Gomez finished 2nd, James Moore took 3rd place and Ott Kornell rounded off the podium battle with a solid 4th place.

The terrain was challenging, the standard of competition very high, and it was fantastic to race against so many top-level international riders. Fourth place gives us confidence ahead of next week’s challenge.”
