Beta Racing: Gomez returns, and solid results from Spain, the UK and Scotland

Another weekend of international competition for Beta riders, who lined up on multiple fronts in very different conditions: from the mud of Spain to the technical terrain of Massa Marittima, through to the opening round of the Hard Enduro World Championship in the UK and the historic Scottish Six Days Trial. Solid results, podiums and consistent progress ahead of the next rounds.

MXGP – Spanish GP (Round 8)

Vilachá, Lugo | Ben Watson – 10th Overall | Tom Koch – 19th Overall

Under heavy rain and on a very demanding track, Ben Watson put together two solid motos, finishing 12th in Race 1 and 11th in Race 2, for a 10th Overall and confirmation of his 12th place in the Championship.
“Conditions were really tough. I struggled at the start of Race 1 but finished stronger. In Race 2, I found my rhythm and ended 11th.” – Ben Watson
Tom Koch, after a good start to the weekend, had a few issues: a goggle problem in qualifying and difficulty finding pace in Race 1. He improved in Race 2 with a 16th place, ending 19th Overall.

Italian Enduro Championship – Massa Marittima (Rounds 5–6)

Massa Marittima, Tuscany | Nathan Watson – 3rd (Saturday), 4th (Sunday)

A world-class weekend in Massa Marittima with a technical and demanding course designed by the local club.
Nathan Watson, aboard his Beta RR 350 4T, immediately showed good pace in Friday’s Super Test. He finished 3rd Overall on Saturday and 2nd in the Foreigners class, posting some of the best times in the Extreme and Cross tests.
On Sunday, he fought for a podium spot until the final special, closing 4th Overall and 3rd in the Foreigners class, showing consistency and speed.

Scottish Six Days Trial

Fort William, Scotland | George Hemingway – 3rd | Harry Hemingway – 9th

The Hemingway brothers took on one of the most iconic events in international trial.
George finished a solid 3rd, confirming his consistency throughout the 2025 edition, while Harry came home in 9th, scoring a strong result in a long and demanding week of riding.

FIM Hard Enduro World Championship – Valleys Hard Enduro (Round 1)

Neath, United Kingdom | Alfredo Gomez – 8th Overall

It was the opening round of the 2025 FIM Hard Enduro World Championship and a welcome return to racing for Alfredo Gomez, back in action after a wrist injury. He placed 4th in the SuperEnduro prologue on Saturday, and completed Sunday’s tough main race in 8th Overall, showing clear signs of improvement.
“I’ve only been back on the bike for three weeks. I’m not at 100% yet, but we’re working hard and I’m seeing progress.” – Alfredo Gomez
