Busy weekend for Beta: race results

Another weekend of competition for Beta Factory riders, engaged on several fronts in the major international and national championships. From the MXGP mud in Spain, to the extreme challenges of the Enduro Assoluti d’Italia, to the spectacular indoor evolutions of the X-Trial in Austria, here is a summary of the weekend’s results.

MXGP – Grand Prix of Castilla-La Mancha

Cozar, Spagna | Ben Watson 13° | Tom Koch 20°

The MRT Racing Team Beta Factory faced prohibitive weather conditions in the second round of the FIM Motocross World Championship 2025, with rain and a track made extremely treacherous by mud.
Ben Watson, despite a tricky qualifying session, showed grit in the two heats: starting in difficulty in the first race, he recovered to 15th place, while in the second, on an increasingly difficult track, he finished 13th overall and climbed to 16th in the championship.
Tom Koch experienced a more difficult weekend: a crash in the first heat forced him to start from the back, finishing 23rd. In the second race, after a very good start in the top ten, the rain made things difficult for him, bringing him down to 16th place and 20th in the day’s standings.

Next race: GP de France, Saint Jean d’Angely (24 March)

Enduro Assoluti d’Italia – Rounds 3 and 4

Massarosa/Camaiore (LU) | Nathan Watson 8°/4° Assoluta – 6°/3° Stranieri

An intense weekend for the Assoluti d’Italia, with a track made even more challenging by the heavy rain of the previous days. Nathan Watson, the only official Beta rider in the race, had a complicated start with a few too many mistakes on the first day, finishing 8th in the Overall and 6th in the Foreigners class.
On Sunday, however, the British rider found the right feeling with his Beta RR350 4T, clearly improving his performance and taking an excellent 4th place overall and 3rd among the Foreigners.

Next events:
EnduroGP – 5-6 April, Fafe (Portugal)
Assoluti d’Italia – 10-11 May, Massa Marittima

X-Trial – Round 6

Wiener Neustadt, Austria | Matteo Grattarola 4°

On the prestigious stage of Wiener Neustadt’s Arena Nova, Matteo Grattarola once again demonstrated his talent in the X-Trial World Championship, ending the weekend with an excellent 4th place overall.
Despite a dislocated left thumb suffered in the Italian Trial Championship race in Rome, Grattarola gritted his teeth, finishing fifth in Q1 and then dominating Q2 with first place. In Super Pole he finished fourth, maintaining this placing also in the final ranking of the event, consolidating his 6th place in the world championship.

Next race: X-Trial in Cahors, France (23 March)
