Green light on 2026: Beta hits the track between debuts and confirmations

An intense weekend for Beta riders, competing on multiple fronts across Italy, Hungary and France. Between season debuts, hard-fought races and an important victory in the SuperEnduro Junior World Championship, the team continues to collect positive signs in every discipline.

INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA MOTOCROSS EICMA – ROUND 1

Alghero (SS), Italy

The 2026 season officially kicked off for the Beta MRT Racing Team with the opening round of the Internazionali d’Italia Motocross EICMA, held on the spectacular yet demanding Lazzaretto circuit above Bombarde beach.
In the MX1 class, with Rick Elzinga sidelined due to injury, Jago Geerts (Beta RX 450) defended the team’s colours. Seventh in qualifying, the Belgian rider finished eighth in race one after starting just outside the top ten. The second moto proved more challenging: a crash at the start forced him to recover from the back of the pack up to tenth place. Thanks to these results, Geerts ended the day seventh overall and holds the same position in the championship standings.

”I’m happy with how I rode today. In the first moto I had some arm pump, while in the second I felt physically good. Too bad about the crash at the start, but my pace was good and I recovered to tenth place. A good debut, I can’t wait to race in Mantova.”
MX2 debut aboard the Beta RX 250 2T for Alexis Fueri and Brando Rispoli.
The French rider, twelfth in his qualifying group, crashed shortly after the start of race one but recovered to 23rd place. In race two, thanks to a strong pace, he finished eighth, securing 12th overall for the day.

Rispoli, sixteenth in qualifying, had to pick an unfavourable gate and finished the motos in 15th and 19th place, collecting 8 points and 17th overall.
The Beta MRT Racing Team will return to action next weekend in Mantova for the second and final round of the 2026 Internazionali d’Italia Motocross EICMA.

FIM SUPERENDURO WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – ROUND 4

Budapest, Hungary

The Budapest Aréna hosted the fourth round of the 2026 SuperEnduro World Championship, delivering a demanding weekend for Beta riders.
In the Prestige class, Alfredo Gómez showed steady improvement throughout the night: 10th in race one, 9th in race two and an excellent 6th in the final race, finishing 8th overall despite not being at full fitness.
”It wasn’t my best night because I was sick. I hope to be fit for the next round.”
Also in Prestige, Tim Apolle finished 10th.

Among the young riders, a strong performance from Fynn Hannemann, fourth overall with results of 5-6-3, while Felix Bähker regained confidence finishing eighth. Ramón Godino returned to racing after about a month out due to injury, ending 11th.
In the Youth category, Eneko Martínez won the first race but problems in the following ones kept him just off the podium in fourth overall.

Next round: Belgrade (Serbia), February 21

SUPERENDURO – JUNIOR CLASS
