Positive signs for Beta after an intense racing weekend.

Another busy weekend for Beta riders across multiple fronts. Solid performances, steady progress and valuable feedback from the track confirm the direction of the development work ahead of the next rounds of the season.

INTERNAZIONALI D’ITALIA MOTOCROSS EICMA – FINAL ROUND

Mantova (MN), Italy

The “Tazio Nuvolari” circuit in Mantova hosted the final round of the 2026 Internazionali d’Italia Motocross EICMA. Despite persistent fog throughout the day, the track remained in good condition, allowing the riders to perform at their best.

Confidence keeps growing for Jago Geerts aboard the Beta RX 450. Ninth in timed practice, the Belgian started inside the top ten in race one and recovered several positions to finish an excellent fourth.
Another strong start in race two saw him complete the opening lap in second place; however, a crash forced him to lose ground and finish seventh.
Geerts therefore ends the day fourth overall, just two points off the podium, and secures the same position in the final championship standings.

Jago Geerts:
“It was a positive day. In the first moto I fought until the end for third place. In the second I had a great start but made a few mistakes and a crash cost me positions. Still, we improved compared to last weekend.”

MX2
Good start for Alexis Fueri (Beta RX 250 2T), fifth in his qualifying group and fourth in race one after a strong launch.
In race two, a crash at the start, impacting an already injured arm, forced him to retire. The French rider still finished tenth overall and twelfth in the championship.

Alexis Fueri:
“The weekend started very well. Too bad about the crash in race two: I preferred to stop to avoid making things worse. I’ll have some checks in the next days but I want to be back on track soon.”

Eighth in the second qualifying group, Brando Rispoli (Beta RX 250 2T) had to fight back in both motos: twenty-fifth in the first and thirteenth in the second, scoring points.

He ends the day twentieth overall and seventeenth in the championship.
The Mantova round also marked the on-track debut of the Beta 250 4T prototype, ridden by Beta collaborators to gather key development data.
With the Internazionali d’Italia now concluded, the MRT Racing Team Beta Factory continues preparations for the opening round of the 2026 FIM Motocross World Championship on March 8 in Bariloche (Argentina).

FIM X-TRIAL WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP – ROUND 7

Barcelona, Spain

A packed arena and extremely high technical level at the Palau Sant Jordi for round seven of the X-Trial World Championship.
Great performance from Harry Hemingway, fourth overall. After a difficult start in Q1, the British rider reacted strongly, secured a place in Q2 and then set the fastest time of the session, reaching the final on his debut with the new Sincro.

Harry Hemingway:
“Q1 didn’t start well, but then I found my rhythm. In the next phase I was the fastest and reached the final. The new Sincro is really competitive, thanks to the team for the work.”

A tough race for Matteo Grattarola, sixth at the end of a night complicated by a crash in the second section. A mistake in the speed race then denied him access to the final.

“A difficult race: after the crash I had to manage my strategy to save the position.”

An unlucky weekend for Hugo Dufrese, forced to retire after a fall.
Excellent second place for Andrea Sofia Rabino, increasingly among the category’s protagonists.

“Only two penalties, I’m really happy with the feeling on the Sincro!”

Next round: March 6 in Chalon-sur-Saône (France).

BASSELLA RACE

Bassella – Lleida, Spain
The 16th edition of the Bassella Race confirmed its status as an iconic event, selling out with 1,200 riders at the start and nearly 10,000 spectators. In this adrenaline-charged setting, the absolute protagonist was Alfredo Gómez.

The official Beta rider dominated the XTREME Race, reaffirming his role as a benchmark in the discipline. Gómez secured a prestigious bronze medal in the final, managing the race with great composure and once again proving his value in extreme enduro.
Also competing in the XTREME Race was Ramón Godino, one of the best juniors in the field, finishing 28th.
“I’m still recovering from my injury, but this race helped me get back into rhythm and start building speed again,” he commented afterwards.

The Beta Trueba Enduro Factory team also made its mark in both the XTREME Race and the BR1, starting the 2026 season with positive feelings. Bassella also hosted the official presentation of the riders who will represent Beta Trueba in this season’s RFME Spanish Enduro Championship.
The senior squad was represented by Pau Tomàs and Julio Pando, who finished 29th and 38th respectively aboard the new RR RACE 390 4T and RR RACE 480 4T.

On Sunday the highly anticipated BR1 took place on muddy and demanding terrain after overnight rain: Ramón Godino, making his debut in the PRO class, achieved a solid 19th place.
Alfredo Gómez’s next appointment will be on February 21 in Belgrade (Serbia), round five of the SuperEnduro World Championship.
